Mudslide Sweeps through Alpine PDF Print E-mail
Written by Neale Shour

On the evening of Saturday July 21st following heavy rains a mudslide swept through Alpine. Starting around 7 p.m. isolated rain storms fell for about an hour. When the storms passed, the area had received several inches of rain which caused the mudslide.

There was a manditory evacuation of Alpine residents for a few days until the area will be deemed safe for people to return.

The silver lining is that no one was injuried, which is the best news to come from this "event". Please keep the fine folks of Alpine and the people helping with the clean up effort in your prayers.

I have created an album in the image gallery and have added several images from my brief trip out to do some cleanup. If you have images that you'd like to share, please register on the site and once logged in, you can add images to this album or your personal user album.
