Site Features
Articles - Any registered user can submit news or a "Creek to Peak" article that will be published to the site for all to read (and comment on if anyone feels so inclined).
Events - An Events calendar to which any registered user can add upcoming events that they would like to share with the rest of world (or at least the internet).
Discussion Forum - If you are not familiar with forums, they're a great way to carry on an "electronic conversation". Think of them as an electronic living room where any registered user can be part of the conversation. There is a forum for discussing articles others have posted to the site and a forum for "anything Chalk Creek". Once we get this rolling I can add specific forums if needed.
Image Galleries - Your very own image gallery where you can post images for all the rest of us to see. There are also other site galleries (i.e. Ghost Towns, Peaks, wildlife, etc).
User Profile Page - Once registered on the site, you will have your very own profile page that will list all the articles, forum posts and images that you have contributed to the site in one place. You will also have a "profile book" (similar to a guest book) that any other registered user can "sign". You can also email another user from within their profile via a "web form" (this way nobody's email address is revealed).
User Blog - Your very own Web Log (Blog) as another way to share your thoughts.
Please give it the site a try and let me know what you think. If you'd like to see something added to the site, please let me know and I'll do my best to get it added...or better yet, register and submit it from the site!
First things first, to take advantage of many of the features described above, you'll need to register on the site....
Once you've registered, the site will email you a confirmation that has a link back to the site. You should then be able to login on the site and access everything mentioned above.
Feel free to email me with any questions. I hope to see you soon .... up canyon!
